But thou know'st this, 'Tis time to fear when tyrants seem to kiss.
Author: William Shakespeare
Source: Pericles Prince of Tyre (Pericles at I, ii)

The winding path in front of you leads you to a city of stark contrasts; Warm summers are shortly followed by blinding snowstorms in the winter. The grand estates and beautiful marble buildings that flow through the main area of the city give way to shacks as you spread ever outward. The pristine cobbled streets kept clean by aqueducts and sewers empty into pox ridden slums.

Money flows freely through this trade city, but it clearly doesn't touch everyone's hands. The peasantry spend their lives indentured to the nobles, barely owning the clothes on their backs. Even the nobility can find themselves at the height of opulence one day and stripped of everything the next. Two lords vie for control of this city of light and dark; one militaristic and cruel, the other cunning and vainly beautiful.

The stage is set for the drama waiting to be played. You cannot help but wonder what part shall be yours in this city of Levkarest.

Subject: Witchcraft Outlawed

A warning to all. The rulers of the city have outlawed magic that is not under the control of the Ezran church. The actions of Fairhaven, the murder of a Marsav noble through arcane means and the terrified peasantry has pushed the nobility to this action. Those caught casting will be arrested and executed. Displaying holy symbols of faiths other than Ezra would also be unwise right now. The Militia, Templars and Wardens of the Church have all been given authority to arrest suspects and kill if necessary. Arrested suspects will be given a trial by the church.
