The Exodus Chat Site Rules

  1. This chat has people from all walks of life, ages and cultures. So instead of making a long list I will say it very clearly: Anyone caught using obscene language and/or racial slurs will be subject to immediate banning. Please keep the conversations to a "PG-13" rating. If you wish to get into an argument with another person and wish to use such language make a private, "locked", room and do it in there.
  2. Any display of sexual violence and/or the use of sexually explicit language will not be tolerated.
  3. The GMs are real people. They make mistakes just like everyone else. If you have a problem with the ruling a GM made please do not make a big scene in the chat rooms. Instead please either contact them directly with a private message or email them voicing your concern. Please be able to produce a logical argument for why you think that the DM was wrong in his decision. Having an argument based solely on, "It's stupid and I don't like it," won't get you very far.
  4. Metagaming will not be tolerated. Any activity that can be described as "Metagaming" will be fully investigated and can be grounds for immediate banning.
  5. If you are having problems with someone that is causing a scene and disrupting the roleplaying experience for other people, please notify a DM. While there might be a DM watching invisibly, there is just as much a chance that there isn't and DMs can't fix "problems" that they are unaware of.
  6. Only the following books are allowed on Exodus Chat: If you are using any material in these books it is required that you have a copy accessible to you in case you have any questions regarding anything that a specific book covers. If you do not have the 3 base books, (PHB, DMG, MM), a copy of the material contained in them can be found at the Open Gaming Foundation's SRD website. The only exception to this is if Exodus Project leaders publish any books then they will also be allowed on the Exodus Chat site.
  7. If a character dies, the player of that character can not create an exact replica of the dead character. The player is also restricted from creating characters that are related to the dead character by blood, marriage, or close friendship. This rule has been created to help prevent metagaming.
  8. If you don't have common sense, or the ability to use common sense, please do not use our site. While this may seem offensive, everyone has heard of the various legal actions taken against websites by people who do not, can not, or will not accept the fact that websites are there for fun, entertainment, and relaxation. Our site, along with most other sites, is not based on reality, but a fictional setting created by David Roomes with the help of a small group of talented individuals. If you feel that the material on this site is offensive to you, please feel free to leave the site at anytime. If you feel that while using the site, the material presented to you has offended you, please feel free to leave at anytime. If you feel that you have some how been wronged or been treated unfairly, you can either:
a.) Feel free to leave the site at anytime.
b.) Contact our Public Relations Representative and voice your complaint.
